In 1991 Oksana Romaniuk graduated with honours from Kyiv State Teacher Training Institute for Foreign Languages specialising in foreign languages (two languages) and having the qualification of an English and French teacher. She has 34 years' experience in teaching the English and French languages at Kyiv Higher Air Defence Military College of Radio Engineering (1991-1993), Kyiv Military Institute of Control and Communications (1993-1999), the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (1995-2000). Since 1999 Oksana Romaniuk has worked at Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman as a lecturer (1999-2004), a senior lecturer (2004-2020), an associate professor at the department of foreign languages and intercultural communication.

In 2020 Oksana Romaniuk defended her PhD thesis on "Developing Pedagogical Mastery of Economics Teachers in Master's Degree Programmes" (the "Theory and Methods of Vocational Training" specialty) and received the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences. In 2022 she received the academic title of Associate Professor.

In 2022 Oksana Romaniuk did an international internship and received advanced training in "Fundraising and organisation of project activities in educational establishments: European experience" at the Department of Polish-Ukrainian studies of Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
